SLOVENIA Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia

The Sports Federation for the Disabled of Slovenia (SFDS) is a special national organisation for the disabled. It is based on the activities of the Sports Commission of the Disabled War Veteran Association of Slovenia (ZVVI). Since then the Federation's programme has been altered many times and today it focuses on competitive and top quality sports for Slovenia's disabled people. The Federation was founded by the national disabled associations that play an extremely important role in familiarising the disabled with the possibilities and the positive effects of participation in sporting activities.
